Jasna Atanasijević, (1979) is Assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad where she teaches finance and mathematical introduction to economics. She is coordinator of Erasmus plus KA2 project aiming to develop curricula in policymaking and policy analysis at three largest universities in Serbia with a help from renowned EU partners. She currently runs a research project in the area of big data analytics and ML and works as a consultant in the field of competitiveness and SME financing.
She has PhD in applied economics from University Paris 1 Sorbonne, master degree in finance from the University Toulouse 1 and bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of economics, University of Belgrade.
From 2014 to 2018 she served as a director of Public policy secretariat of the Government of Serbia. She was in charge of the establishing of the new institution in the center of government promoting new practices of planning in public administration including result-based management, evidence based policy making and regulatory impact assessment. From 2009 to 2014, she was a chief economist of Hypo Alpe-Adria bank in Serbia. Before that, she worked as a researcher in a think tank as well as a consultant in the area of finance and economic policy.
She authored several studies and reports in applied economics and finance, some of them published in journals such as Comparative Economic Studies Journal and Eastern European Economics Journal. She is a member of the presidency of the Serbian Association of Economists (SAE), editorial board of the SAE Journal of business economics and management, advisory board of the Foundation for the advancement of economic science, advisory board of the Center for the applied statistics of the University of Novi Sad and the Serbian chapter of the Club of Rome.
