Valter Leban is a member of Mmanagement Board of Kolektor concern. After completing elementary school in Idrija, he continued his education in Ljubljana at the Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering. In the beginning in 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana and joined the Kolektor Group. During his studies, he continued his MBA program at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, where he also obtained a Master’s degree in 2007.
Valter Leban, according to the “change manager,” believes that every organization must adapt, innovate, test new things and constantly pursue the challenges. In his extensive professional career, he has been dealing with very different fields, which include the establishment of information infrastructure, the management of production companies, operational excellence and the principles of a lean company, the internationalization of the Group, the establishment of new business models, etc.
Currently, his activities are focused on establishing and providing conditions for the creation of the fourth business pillar of the Kolektor Group, with which company will expand its offer in the field of digitization as one of the main megatrends of today.
Valter Leban is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Slovenian Metal Industry at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and a member of the Council of the School of the First Slovene School, the Jurija Vega Gymnasium in Idrija.
