In accordance with scientific and rigorous standards, the operation of HK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE will be performed professionally, objectively, and fairly. An independent review procedure has been formulated to ensure the integrity of the review process. It is also stipulated that no organization or individual can exert undue influence on the review results.
Hong Kong will offer a record prize fund of nearly HK$90 million to encourage more talented youngsters to pursue research in science and technology. The award will be presented in three waves: Southeast Asian residents first; then, mainland Chinese and international applicants. The application will open on March 1.
The 2023 Future Science Prize was awarded to eight scientists from around the world, spanning life and physical sciences. This year’s edition saw the highest number of shortlistees and the broadest age range in its history. It aims to inspire more talents in research and to further strengthen the local scientific and technological development. It is a platform for the exchange of ideas and the promotion of innovative science and technology.
